Born 1973, Berkshire, UK
Lives and works in Sussex,
Melissa Campbell uses found photographs and texts as a starting point to explore performance and self-presentation within these constructed spaces.
Working across printmaking, film, and installation, she investigates both the stories they may contain, and the value of the object itself - in terms of identity, evidence and truth.
Her work has been exhibited widely and she has received nominations from PhotoLondon and Bloomberg New Contemporaries.
